Manta
Order No. 3049/00
Manta is a semi-scale model based on a full-size Italian Race Boat from the year 1953. The original vessel was powered by a 4.5 litre Ferrari V12 engine.
The boat weighed 800 kg, and the maximum speed achieved at the time was 178.49 mph (approx. 330 km/hr). The hull was built almost entirely of mahogany.
The basis of our model is a one-piece GRP hull, which is skinned with specially produced mahogany sheet panels. The deck planking is laser-cut, and needs very little trimming. The top cover, which includes the engine cowling, is a GRP moulding, and is fitted out with laser-cut mahogany parts. The kit also includes the propeller shaft and rudder. The sophisticated cast metal fittings, including exhaust manifolds and shaft supports, produce a stunning model.
The kit contains:
The kit includes all the GRP and wooden parts required to build the model. The high-quality etched nickel-silver parts set includes trim rails, window frames, ventilation grills, instrument panel, running boards and steering wheel.
